Regina Verani was born in Brazil. After finishing Medical School in Brazil, she came, with her husband, also a physician, to the US for a residency training in Pathology. Pathology, a combination of science and visual arts, according to Regina.
She worked at the University of Texas Medical School in Houston for 38 years. Her painting career started in 1996, after becoming a member of the Watercolor Art Society in Houston, where she participated in many juried exhibitions. She was the owner of Galeria Regina in Houston for 8 years. Moving to Avondale Estates in 2017 she opened Galeria Regina in Oakhurst, Decatur. For more than 20 years Regina has painted a variety of subjects and used many mediums. Studies “Under the Microscope” is the hallmark of her art, since is inspired by her experience as a renal pathologist.
